popping into your inbox a day "late" this week

as yesterday there was a full on thunderstorm, the lights were flickering, the internet was cutting in and out, and my pressure headache had fully clocked in for the day

so i listened to my body, put the laptop away, and let tuesday be tuesday 😂

honestly though? i was pretty delightfully distracted anyway

because yesterday i got to do one of my absolute favourite things i do every single summer when i come back to canada ...

i embodied my inner robin hood 🏹✨

​ if you've been in my little email world for a while, you might already know that i do these grants every summer every year i apply for two x $1,500 grants through my health insurance company and every year it genuinely feels amazing every time i see the APPROVED email come through 🎉 and THEN a local business in the community heard about what i was doing and topped it up with another $1,000 in donated goodies! which meant that yesterday i got to donate 38 x Beat the Summer Heat kits to a local mobile health outreach bus and community outreach program to help get supplies into the hands of people in the community who could really use them! 🤍 each kit had a whopping 25 items inside 🤯 everything from reusable water bottles, baseball hats, sunscreen, and cooling towels, to electrolytes, protein bars, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, and conditioner!

(i celebrated this one loud this morning - my Wednesday WINS voice note inside my WOW Membership was a whole 9 minutes long and i regret nothing 😂💕)

it took quite a bit of organizing, shopping and mental math to curate kits within the budget

but i absolutely love being a conduit for generosity and the opportunity for $2,500 to move through me and into the world!

AND i'm already working on another $1,500 grant for a completely different charity next week!

i found out about these grants completely by accident and i've been donating thousands of dollars of someone else's money (Robin Hood!) annually for over 5 years now 🤯

so here is your lil nudge for the day to check and see if your insurance offers community grants or giving programs too!
